Updating your
computer is one of the most important things you need to do for security. For
Windows Computers especially but other computers may have system updates from
time to time. Given that the majority of people in the world utilize Windows
computers, we will focus on updating computers.
Often, updates will be released
on the second Tuesday of every month for Windows, a day that knows as Patch
Tuesday. Any number of updates will be released, with some of them marked as
critical, the one’s you really need to download, important, the one’s that are
a good idea to download, and optional, updates that you may not to download.
The first time you start the
computer after they are released on Patch Tuesday at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, they
will be automatically downloaded to your computer. The next time you shut down,
they will install the updates. You can configure the computer to not to
automatically download updates but that is not recommended.
You can also manually download
and install updates after 1:00 PM Eastern time on Patch Tuesday. Here’s how.
